Terms of Service for Kiddo

Introduction
Welcome to Kiddo! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Kiddo mobile application ("App") developed by Aranja ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the Kiddo app, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the App.
1. Eligibility
The Kiddo app is intended for use by families, including parents, guardians, and children under their supervision. By using the App, you confirm that you are either 18 years of age or older, or you have the consent of a parent or guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf.
2. Use of the App
2.1 Family Use
Kiddo is designed to help families organize activities and create reward systems for children. All tasks, rewards, and stamps are managed locally on your device. Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising their children’s use of the App.
2.2 License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Kiddo for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not distribute, modify, or resell the App or any part of it.
2.3 Prohibited Activities
You agree not to use Kiddo for any illegal or unauthorized purpose. You also agree not to:
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App.
Use any automated means to access or interact with the App.
Attempt to interfere with the operation or security of the App.
3. Subscriptions
3.1 Subscription Plans
Kiddo operates on a subscription basis, with monthly and yearly plans available. By purchasing a subscription, you gain access to all of Kiddo’s features. There is no free version of the App, but a free trial is available to new users.
3.2 Free Trial
Kiddo offers a free trial for a limited period. The trial allows you to access all premium features. After the trial period ends, you will be automatically charged for the subscription plan you selected during sign-up unless you cancel before the trial period ends.
3.3 Billing and Payment
Subscriptions are billed either on a monthly or yearly basis, depending on the plan you choose. Payment will be charged to your app store account at the time of subscription and will automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period.
3.4 Automatic Renewal
Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel it. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your app store account settings. If you cancel, you will retain access to the App’s premium features until the end of the current billing period.
3.5 Refunds
All subscription fees are non-refundable. If you cancel your subscription, you will not receive a refund for any unused portion of the subscription period, but you will continue to have access to the premium features until the current billing period ends.
4. Data and Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please refer to our [Privacy Policy](link to Privacy Policy) for details on how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using the App, you agree to the terms outlined in the Privacy Policy.
5. Local Storage
All data related to tasks, rewards, and stamps is stored locally on your device via the Watermelon database. This data is not transmitted to or stored on our servers. As a result, you are responsible for the security of your device and any data stored within the App.
6. Third-Party Services
Kiddo uses third-party services like Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to monitor app performance, usage, and errors. By using the App, you consent to the collection of non-personal data as outlined in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for any data that is collected, stored, or used by these third-party services.
7. Modifications to the App
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App, in whole or in part, at any time without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the App.
8. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the App, and any rights granted to you under these Terms will end.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aranja and its affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use or inability to use the App, including any loss of data stored on your device.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Aranja and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising out of your use of the App, including any violation of these Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Iceland, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be resolved in the courts located in Reykjavik, Iceland.
12. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date above. Your continued use of the App after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
